Failure to complete the renewal within the specified timeframe will result in the automatic expiration of the application, indicating that it is no longer valid. It is essential to adhere to the renewal window in order to maintain an active status for the application.
A minimum of 3 CPD activities must be completed each year to be eligible for annual renewal. Additionally, the total cumulative CPD hours must be completed by the 3rd year for the next renewal. CPD hours are exempt for Professional Registrants aged 60 years and above.

A lapsed registrant refers to an individual who fails to renew their registration within twelve (12) months from the expiration date, as outlined under Section 25.
Lapsed registrant will have their profile information deregistered and removed from the ‘Find a Professional’ search directory.
Lapsed registrant is prohibited from using the abbreviated title “Ts.” (Professional Technologist) or “Tc.” (Certified Technician) in any business, communication, or representation that implies or suggests they are recognised as a Professional Technologist or Certified Technician, unless they are officially registered.
Depending on the specific circumstances, re-registration may be carried out under Section 21 or Section 22 of the relevant regulations.
