Qualified Technician
An entry level for candidates who hold a minimum Level 3 Certificate up to an Advanced Diploma (Level 5), or equivalent qualifications that are recognised by the Board. The fee to apply for Qualified Technician is RM30, which is a lifetime registration fee and no yearly renewal is required.

Certified Technician
A professional-level registration in the Technicians category. A qualified technician who has fulfilled the requirements below can be entitled to the title of Certified Technician.
Qualified Technicians need 3 years of practical experience in the related technology fields to apply for Certified Technicians.
They also need to pay RM300 and pass an assessment in the related technology fields.
After passing the assessment, they need to pay RM200 and comply with the Board’s criteria to become Certified Technicians.
